HAVEN SPORTHORSES HsH
Haven Sporthorses (HsH) is owned and operated by College Graduate and IHSA Equestrian Captain Team Member (1997-2001), Julia Bartel. HsH was started in 2001 in Davidsonville, Maryland. Julia Bartel has been involved with horses for over 30 years. Background includes dressage and hunter/jumper disciplines. HsH main focus are the bloodlines of today's sporthorses for Olympic jumpers and dressage horses. Julia Bartel trains all her horses from foals and they are started correctly with a nice foundation in dressage, and trained via seat and leg control in the first year under saddle with little to no contact with the bit to allow natural development and softness. Outside training of other horses is available but limited per space available. HsH has a personal farrier, John Haven. John Haven has been working with horses for over 12 years and is a natural. John decided in March 2006 to become a farrier where he graduated from the extensive 16 week class at Mitch Taylor's Kentucky Horse Shoeing School located at Mt.Eden, KY. All HsH horses are well cared for with current vaccines, dental, farrier, worming, and grooming to maintain optimal health. All HsH horses are fed top quality grain and hay. All horses are papered and or passported in Julia Bartel's name and all foals bred by HsH comes with lifetime USEF and USDF numbers. HsH Breeds on a small scale but provides the top of the crop quality in the USA for the very discriminating buyers that focus on the World Rankings and whose who is the warmblood sport world.
